 Holly Coia
A juried member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen, Holly Coia has been working in the arts all her life. When this Bedford County art teacher is not guiding young minds and hands, she is creating decorative Lagenaria gourds. The process begins before a paint brush ever touches the gourd. Each hard-shelled Lagenaria Gourd needs to be thoroughly dried, scrubbed and sanded. All decorative artwork is hand painted with acrylics and finished with a coat of polyurethane for a lasting effect. Prices for the gourds range from $25 to $85.
