Say “Scherenschnitte” three times fast! Kathy’s steady hand and attention to detail have led to the creation of her Schrenschnitte artwork – an old German-style of papercutting. Her drawing skills, sensitivity to pattern and design are apparent in her intricate and original Scherenschnitte. When Kathy lived and taught in Asia and Europe, she discovered the French dyes, serti-resist, and shibbori techniques for her washable silks.
